1. PROMOTION PERIOD AND ELIGIBILITY: The El Pollo Loco Online Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") runs on Monday, October 26, 2009 only. The Sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents only who are at least 18 years old on October 26, 2009. Employees of El Pollo Loco, Inc. (“EPL”), its affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees and agencies, and their immediate family members (spouses, children, siblings, parents and their respective spouses) are not eligible to enter or win. Void in Florida and New York and where prohibited by law.

2. TO ENTER SWEEPSTAKES: To enter the Sweepstakes, submit a comment on the official EPL Twitter (www.twitter.com/elpollolocoinc) or Facebook (www.facebook.com/elpollolocooinc) page stating why flame-grilled chicken is better than oven-grilled chicken. Limit one Sweepstakes entry per user or email address. Only comments received between 12:00AM and 11:59PM on Monday, October 26, 2009 will be eligible. EPL is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected Sweepstakes entries.

3. HOW TO WIN: On Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at approximately 10:00AM PST, one winner will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received on the official EPL Twitter or Facebook.

4. PRIZE/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE/APPROXIMATE ODDS OF WINNING: One (1) winner will receive flame-grilled chicken meals for a year, which consists of 52 Two-piece Meal Voucher Certificates (13 expire on March 31, 2010; 13 expire on June 30, 2010; 13 expire on September 30, 2010 and 13 expire on December 31, 2010). Vouchers are redeemable for one free two-piece meal at a participating El Pollo Loco Restaurant. Two-piece meals consist of two pieces of flame-grilled chicken (breast & wing or leg & thigh), two small sides of your choice, two tortillas and fresh salsa. Only one certificate may be redeemed per visit. Approximate retail value of the prize is $311.48. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

5. PRIZE AWARD: Winner will be contacted by EPL via Twitter or Facebook and instructed to email age, complete name, address and contact phone numbers to Christina Fumia (cfumia@elpolloloco.com). Winner must provide requested information by November 30, 2009 to receive the prize. Taxes resulting from the acceptance of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. No prize substitution allowed. Prize is not redeemable for cash and no change will be given. Prize can not be combined with any other offers. Unclaimed prize will not be awarded. Sweepstakes entries are subject to verification.

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrant agrees to these Official Rules. All Sweepstakes materials (including prize claims) submitted become the sole property of EPL and can be used in future marketing campaigns online or otherwise. Sweepstakes is subject to applicable federal and state laws. By entering, entrant also agrees to release and hold EPL, its franchisees, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents harmless against any and all claims and liabilities related to the acceptance of a prize or participation in Sweepstakes. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner’s names, likenesses and/or biographical information for marketing purposes without further compensation or right of approval, unless prohibited or as restricted by law. Sweepstakes entries are void if not obtained through authorized channels or if Sweepstakes entry is misdirected or otherwise not received on the official El Pollo Loco, Inc Twitter or Facebook page. EPL is not responsible for lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries.
